The Cross will be at our parish in Preparation for World Youth Day in
Poland next July!

Next year from July 24th-August 1st 2016, Catholic youth from all over the world will gather together with Pope Francis in Poland. During World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland in summer 2016, the youth who are not making the trip to Poland in the Archdiocese of Detroit will gather at St. Mary’s of Orchard Lake where they will celebrate, listen, be inspired, and grow alongside the Pope and Catholic youth worldwide. The Cross, crafted in and traveling around the Archdiocese, will be present at all events next year with the youth at St. Mary’s.

In preparation, the Cross is traveling throughout the Archdiocese. While at St. Clare, we will burn a logo into the Cross along with every Parish that will host it throughout the year, so that all the youth at St. Mary’s next year will know that the people of St. Clare love, support, and pray for them! The Cross will be present in our Church for the entire time it is here, July 22-29, 2015. Make sure to stop by and see it, and keep the Catholic youth in your prayers in a special way while the Cross is at St. Clare!
