Safe Environments Instructions for Adult Volunteers at St. Clare of Montefalco Church and School
All adult employees and volunteers who have contact with children must successfully complete a Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop within six months of their start date. The three hour workshop builds awareness and empowers attendees to intervene and prevent potentially harmful situations or behavior.

Instructions for Parish teenaged children who volunteer at St. Clare of Montefalco Church
All youth in grades 9-12 who are paid or volunteer their time to work in parishes, schools and affiliated agencies shall attend a Called to Serve workshop. Participation in the workshop must be completed within six months of hire or assignment date. It is also recommended that employees/volunteers under age 18 be paired with an adult or another teen or be supervised by an adult. Activities requiring Called to Serve may include:

Making a Report of Sexual Abuse:
To inform the Archdiocese of Detroit regarding the sexual abuse of minors by priests, deacons and other Church personnel and/or to speak to the Victim Assistance Coordinator contact: 866.343.8055. A caller will be requested to provide his or her name and telephone number. All calls regarding complaints of sexual abuse will be returned in a timely manner. This toll-free number has been established as part of an effort by the Detroit Archdiocese to protect children, young people and other vulnerable people in our schools, parishes and ministries.
This line is for reporting suspected sexual misconduct or child abuse within archdiocesan institutions and ministries only.
Persons with such complaints are also encouraged to directly contact law enforcement authorities.
