Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that provides high quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people facing a life challenge. This could be grief from the death of a loved one,  divorce, cancer, loneliness, financial difficulties, a spiritual crisis, really any curve balls life can throw at us. Stephen Ministers are not counselors or  therapists, rather they provide a supportive environment, a listening ear and accompanies the person as they navigate whatever challenge they are facing.  Stephen Minister training is open to anyone 18 years and older. Ministers participate in 50 hrs. of classroom training before being commissioned. Ministers meet with their care receiver approximately once a week for one hour.
