This brief summary of the pastoral plan for our parish community offers us an opportunity to reflect prayerfully on how Jesus asks us to live as His disciples. This plan has two layers: an outer layer and an inner layer.
To grow in the Catholic faith as disciples of Jesus Christ
To bring people to God and God to the people
Our model for this effort is summarized in a few simple words:
Be Bold. Be Holy. Be Catholic. Encounter, Growth, Witness
This pastoral plan for the next three years, before the next 65th anniversary of the dedication of our current church building, invites each member of our parish to reflect on his or her role as a steward of God’s many gifts. It calls us to a profound conversion that leads to a spirit of generosity, most fully revealed in the sharing of time and talent with others. This plan invites all of us to be missionaries of the Good News of Jesus Christ, to the faithful and to those outside the Church.
To do our work effectively we must engage in conversation with families, youth, school and our neighbors. Moreover, we must use our resources wisely and communicate effectively.
I strongly believe that if we embark on this journey in a spirit of gratitude, we, the people of God and those who will join us at St. Clare in the future will be transformed and changed. Why? Because we will have a living and growing relationship with God within a welcoming, vibrant and healthy community.
I woud like to invite you to view, to participate and to be part of the pastoral plan of St. Clare. Please take a look at the video and
questions within these pages and answer how you will be Bold, be Holy, Be Catholic.
I am grateful for the many ways our parishioners work to strengthen our St. Clare community. Be assured of my prayers as we journey together as disciples of Christ.
Together In Christ
