Be Bold – God did not give us the spirit of cowardice … (2 Tim. 1:6-8; 13-14)
We are about “God’s business” not our own.
We are eager followers of Jesus Christ; we seek to have God in our lives; and we confidently invite others to join us.
We have the courage to step out of our comfort zone; to reach out to parishioners and non-parishioners with purpose and creativity (e.g. through new ideas, technology, and personal invitation).
We seek transformation and growth ??? in our hearts, in our church, and in our school.
We recognize the value of Catholic education, and we work to promote and sustain our school for future generations.
We strive to be a community where every member ministers to one another.
We embrace a new modern approach: one ministry for one person for one year.
We are Bold because we believe in St. Clare Parish, our Catholic tradition, and heritage.
We seek out new opportunities to boldly promote God, our faith, and St. Clare Parish.
Be Holy – ( ... ) so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Jesus … (2 Tim. 2:8-13)
We strive to live out our Baptismal call individually and collectively — dying to the “old” (sin) and rising to the “new” (grace) as embodied in the paschal mystery
We are all called to holiness.
Our central task is to make God present in the world and to allow our lives to be challenged and transformed by holiness.
We commit ourselves to perseverance and prayer as a way to grow in holiness. We are the face of Christ to each other.
As a parish community, we actively participate in the Eucharist as the central focus of our lives.
We strive to be holy, because God calls us to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
We seek new ways to become a holy people of God.
Be Catholic – Remain faithful to what you have learned and have believed … (2 Tim. 3:14-4:2)
We are grounded in Baptism, and therefore we have a common mission: to bring God to the people and the people to God. In all areas of parish life, our mission is to evangelize.
By our profession of the Nicene Creed, we express our faith, teachings, and tradition in our church and school.
We put God first — in the same way as St. Michael the Archangel did “Who is like God.”
We place the Eucharist at the center of our communal parish life.
We are grateful for our blessings, talents, and treasure, which leads us to a genuine giving of ourselves for the Glory of God and the benefit of others.
We utilize all the gifts that God has given us to accomplish our central task of evangelization. We engage the charisms of the priests of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel, our own physical gifts, talents, and resources; our spiritual gifts of prayers, devotions, and sacraments; and our intellectual gifts of education, ongoing study, and faith life.
We are Catholic – because we are united in our belief in one God, one Lord, Jesus Christ, and we seek new opportunities to enhance and share our faith
