In southeast Michigan, we are no strangers to challenges,and we, with the grace and love of God, have always been resilient, rising from the ashes and overcoming these trials.

The Catholic Service Appeal provides the financial support for the work of many ministries, programs and services that meet the physical and spiritual needs of parishes, schools and countless people throughout the Archdiocese. All parishes in the AOD participate and are assigned a goal.  Our parish goal this year is $81,973.  You will be receiving a special letter from our office with the diocesan brochure providing additional information. Please prayerfully consider your donation to this appeal. The theme of this year’s appeal is Opening Doors to Witness Christ. The kickoff for CSA 2018 is right around the corner and we are looking for a few good volunteers to help make this year’s appeal a success.  In keeping with our Holy Father’s invitation to all Catholics to renew their personal relationship with our Savior, as “the joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus,” the theme of the 2018 Catholic Services Appeal is Opening Doors to Grow with Christ.

Altar boys from across the Archdiocese of Detroit will gather at Sacred Heart Major Seminary next Friday, June 20, to learn about the diocesan priesthood. At the annual Seminary Day for Altar Boys, altar boys who have completed the seventh grade or are older will have the opportunity to spend time with priests and seminarians and hear talks on vocations and the priesthood...

THANK YOU to those who have already responded with a gift or a pledge to the Catholic Services Appeal. “Service of the Sacred,” a music and liturgy conference, will be held this coming Monday through Thursday at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Presented by the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Sacred Music Task Force and funded in part by the Catholic Services Appeal, the conference is designed for those who minister through music, supporting the Gospel message through song.

Catholic marriage is a calling from God to a shared vocation of life and love. Your gifts to the Catholic Services Appeal allow the archdiocesan Office for Marriage and Family Life to assemble marriage preparation programs designed to help couples build a foundation for this sacred union.
