Now that Spring has officially arrived, it is time to gear up for the SVdP summer camp season! Please help us spread the word about the seasonal employment and volunteer opportunities at Camp Ozanam for summer 2018. Staff and volunteers will be a part of something truly remarkable – a summer camp experience where children grow to experience God’s love through the support of caring adult role models. We are looking for staff and volunteers who want to help change lives! One summer camp experience can change a child’s perspective and make a huge impact on their future.
St. Clare of Montefalco is calling all Young Adults, ages 21-35, to join us on Wednesday, April 11th from 7:00-9:00 pm at Cadieux Café for “Fellowship and Feather Bowling.” This event is open to ALL!
During the Holy Triduum there will be a few monetary collections: on Holy Thursday, the collection is for the general running of our parishes. The Good Friday collection is for the Holy Land. For your Easter offering, please use the special envelope included in your Sunday envelope packet, or included in the Easter mailing or the envelope available in the pew. As we come together to celebrate these Holy Days as one community, we still need to keep up our buildings and provide care for the ministerial support and ministries within our parishes. Please keep this in mind as you make your generous contribution. Thank you very much for your continued support.
On March 21st at 10:30 our St Clare Parish family and school will provide a funeral service for Mr. Henry Stanton of Detroit. Mr. Stanton collapsed and died in his home on October 16, 2016, his body has been in the Wayne County Morgue since that time. There was no immediate family found to claim him and the extended family did not have the means.
We have hit the half way point in our Stephen Ministry training. Last week we concentrated on the importance of confidentiality in our caring relationships, this week the focus will be on understanding grief and depression. Those training are equipping themselves with the tools to walk alongside someone, providing a listening ear and support. If you or someone you know has experienced a loss or is navigating a difficult situation, Stephen Ministry may be able to assist. We will be ready to meet the needs of the community beginning in mid-May. We thank God for the dedication of our Stephen Minister trainees and ask for your continued prayers for them and for God’s blessing upon this ministry.

The kickoff for CSA 2018 is right around the corner and we are looking for a few good volunteers to help make this year’s appeal a success. In keeping with our Holy Father’s invitation to all Catholics to renew their personal relationship with our Savior, as “the joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus,” the theme of the 2018 Catholic Services Appeal is Opening Doors to Grow with Christ.
