Many of us go to the cemetery in the springtime to clean the graves of our loved ones and say a prayer. Some parishes participate in a custom known as Cemetery Sunday. It provides us an opportunity to come together on a designated date at the cemetery and pray collectively for those who have gone before us. This year St. Clare will begin this tradition on August 14th at 3:00 p.m., the hour of Divine Mercy, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mark your calendar for this date and join us. Also, mark your calendars for August 30 for a Holy Door Pilgrimage.
Come join Fr. Andrew, Fr. Tom and their crew of bike riders on Thursday, July 14th, at 6 p.m. for a leisurely ride through Grosse Pointe Park. I have found an old bike that was restored thanks to one of our parishioners, and it will be summer fun to join others in an easy bike ride through our community. We will begin at St. Clare in the parking lot between the school and the gym and ride (weather permitting) approximately 6 miles at an easy pace.
