On behalf of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, the St. Clare Christian Service Commission would like to thank the over fifty families and individuals that supported the Capuchin Signature Drive last weekend. Your generosity and thoughtfulness raised $1,192 to support the meaningful ministry of the Capuchins and their work in the Detroit area. Thank you for caring and participating in this worthwhile program. We all realize this is a year round challenge. Your efforts at this time and other times throughout the year are greatly appreciated.

The Christian Service Commission will be hosting our annual Capuchin Signature Drive the weekend of August 23-24 to support their local Soup Kitchens. Envelopes will be on the church tables beginning August 2 if you would like to turn in a $20 donation and a signature early, otherwise, we hope you will consider making a donation after Masses in late August

One of the nicest things about summer can be the opportunity to get away from our routines and enjoy a vacation. This year our SVdP Conference has had the privilege sending 14 children to Camp Ozanam, which is located north of Lexington, MI on the shores of Lake Huron. For over 90 years, St. Vincent de Paul has provided a free camping experience for eligible children who then get to spend a week experiencing nature, meeting new people and enjoying typical summer camp activities.
