Our St. Clare food pantry is practically bursting at the seams, thanks to a big shipment of pre-packed food boxes we got via Gleaners and Ford Motor Company. In the coming days, we will be distributing them to families in our community who need some assistance stretching their grocery dollars. The Archdiocesan Counsel of St. Vincent de Paul has been granted $2.25 million dollars for low income energy assistance by the Michigan Public Service Commission. If you or someone you know is behind on paying electricity, natural gas, propane or heating oil, please call our SVDP Assistance Line and leave a message. Members of our conference are trained to determine if you are qualified for help and can process the paperwork to access the necessary funds.
