Thank you to everyone who is bringing non-perishable foods to stock our St. Clare Food Pantry. Although our food drive "officially" ended on December 1st, there is no end to the need for food to help our neighbors stretch their grocery dollars. Therefore, we will gratefully continue to accept any donations you care to make. You may drop your contributions off in the baskets near the church doors.

The Detroit Council of SVDP has received a 2.25 million dollar grant from the Michigan Public Service Commission for energy assistance to people needing help catching up on gas, electric, propane or fuel oil bills. Members of our St. Clare conference are trained to determine eligibility and process the appropriate paperwork. If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, please leave a message on our SVDP assistance line (647-5062) and one of our volunteers will contact you. In the next few weeks, we will publish more information about the specifics of this program.
