The St. Leo's Lenten Lunch Project begins Ash Wednesday, March 5, for six weeks during Lent. Donation drop-offs will take place the weekend before each Wednesday lunch during Masses inside the church by the Family Room and in the Austin Portico lobby, or anytime at the Parish Office during business hours.
St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen has undergone changes in the past few months. They moved across the street to a wonderful space in the basement of Historic Peoples Community Church due to the sale of their building. The address is 8601 Woodward Ave. SLSK continues to provide hot nutritious meals during the week. We look forward to the continued relationship. We will remain flexible during this time of transition. Please see the Sign-Ups below. Links to the sign-up can also be found on our webpage or in the weekly bulletin.
The main dish will be prepared at the Soup Kitchen. Your financial contribution will purchase the protein for the main dish. You can still make homemade cookies and brownies if you wish. We will also collect nonperishable food items to support the lunches being provided.
Make out checks to St. Clare Church with St. Leo’s in the memo line. Cash and checks may be placed in a marked envelope in the collection basket. Also, you may donate through WeShare, our Parish online giving site, by selecting the St. Leo’s Lunch Project from the homepage. Please click the button below to be taken to WeShare.
You may bring your donations to Mass and place them in large boxes by the Family Room or in a box in the Austin Portico. Items may also be dropped at the Parish Office during normal hours. Thank you for your support in providing high-quality meals to our guests at St. Leo's Soup Kitchen.
