“SAY HI SUNDAY”
MAY 19, 2019
Fr. Andrew mentioned in his column last Sunday that our Parish Council is working on a Lenten, Unleash the Gospel, Parish Project. When Fr. Andrew came to St. Clare, he walked the streets of our parish knocked on doors, just to introduce himself and say hello. We would like to repeat this gesture of welcome by doing the same. Recently our boundaries changed as a result of the closure of St. Philomena, so this is an opportune time to once again say hello to some familiar faces but also welcome new faces too.
To accomplish this, we will be inviting Parishioners to become involved. We will visit all of the homes in our boundaries, SAY HI, and remind our neighbors about St. Clare’s 90 years as a cornerstone of our community.
We’ll invite everyone to take a look at all that St. Clare Parish offers, including our school. And we’ll hand out a printed piece with information about our fabulous community. This leave-behind will also have an “Invitation” to a FREE event scheduled for June 9th on St. Clare’s campus – a cook-out with live music – an event that promises to be a fun day.
Chairing this Lenten project is Bryan Brieden along with a committee of Bill Harrington, Linda Hazlett, Marty McMillan, and Tom Warnez.
Unleash the Gospel and consider getting involved. Ask anyone from this group or other Parish Council members should you have any questions. They’ll be more than happy to help.
