Reminders from our SVdP Conference:
- HELP WITH UTILITY BILLS There are still funds from the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) available to qualified individuals and families! The arrival of spring means that people who may have been on shut-off protection with their energy provider thru the cold months are now expected to come current gas and electric bills. Total household income must be at or below 150% of the poverty level, (see table below) and the energy bill must be in the applicant’s name. To see if you qualify, please leave a confidential message at 313-647-5062.
- SUMMER CAMP FOR DESERVING KIDSOur conference is providing an opportunity for children aged 8-14 to experience a week at Camp Ozanam—located on Lake Huron between Lexingon and Port Sanillac. There is no charge for families. If you know of a deserving child, please call our assistance line at 313-647-5062.
- OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT CAMP OZANAMSt. Vincent de Paul, and specifically Camp Ozanam has been invited to participate in the annual Art Van Charity Challenge. From May 18 until June 22, donations made online at: https://www.crowdrise.com/svdpd-artvan2015 will go directly to the camp program and will help Camp Ozanam earn extra “prize money” in the Charity Challenge.
