It is a long-standing tradition that during the season of Advent Catholics celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation. Advent begs us to do something quite contrary to our culture’s expectations: while we shop, bake, decorate – we slow down and take a look at our own lives to remember the complexity of the web of sin. When was the last time you celebrated this sacrament? When was the last time you asked yourself: how have I lived my discipleship, my relationship with Christ this past year(s)? What is my commitment for this year? Have I contributed to any social sins of the world? Every parish in our vicariate will have something special this season to help us in this ‘slowing down”. Here at St. Clare are the following opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation:
- 30 min before weekly Mass
- Every Saturday from 2:30pm – 3:30pm
- Wednesday during Adoration: Dec. 6 and Dec. 20
- Vicariate, with many priests: Dec. 18 at 1 pm at Our Lady of Hope and 7 pm at St. Joan of Arc
