Inspired by Synod ‘16, the Amazing Parish Conference, parish Rebuilt gatherings, trips, and deliberations with the Parish Council, here and now at the beginning of another year, I would like to present some of the “St. Clare epiphanies” plans and actions we envision for this year and the years to come. They will be presented today and later be available on our parish website. Reaching out to a dream can be risky. It can involve hardships that our imaginations never expected. Our comfortableness can so easily be disturbed. But, what beauty can be experienced as we accept the challenge of a dream! What a precious feeling to be supported, to have others say: “You can do it, we can do it together.” In pursuing those plans we must use what we have. The surprise is that by using what we have – our little bit of faith, gifts, abilities, treasures, and talents – our faith actually increases and things are being done. By acting we deepen our faith. The very work of following Jesus, living good Christian lives, serving and ministering to others, living out our baptismal call, making God’s presence available to others, making our liturgies vibrant and meaningful, making our Church and school visible, and becoming involved in the life of the parish is an expression of our belief and in the end it increases our faith. This is how faith, the size of a mustard seed, in each of us can move the big tree of our parish and in our school.
Be Bold. Be Holy. Be Catholic.
