Hello Everyone,
We transitioned the groups today, most in Przemysl went to the field station and vice versa. Each day we head off to the various destinations, never sure exactly what we will encounter, including the weather where we had snow and rain, but always willing to give it our best shot. There seemed to be a lot of movement at the centers today, a bit of an uptick in activity. The sheer volume of people is staggering, heartbreaking and surreal.
At the same time, it is also amazing, heartwarming and encouraging to see the coordinated effort of so many from literally every part of the world in the mix helping, something beautiful to behold and humbling to be part of. One would think the sheer volume would demand that people be processed like a number, but this is not the case. Great care is given to ease this painful time of uncertainty. Medical teams are onsite to treat the physical and maybe even more important the emotional trauma the travelers are experiencing. Every language imaginable is being spoken. Google Translate is in high demand to help communication, an example of technology at its best!
So as this Saturday evening comes to a close here across the globe…and I am not there to give my homily I leave you with this question…how is your Lent going? I hope when we return the wall of mathematics will be overflowing with ways you were able to add something good, subtract a negative habit, multiply your kindness, and divide your time and treasures to lift others up. That is what we see here…the mathematics of the love of being the hands and feet of Christ.
Happy Palm Sunday, keep praying.
