Congratulations to the 23 parishioners commissioned last Sunday as Stephen Ministers. May the Lord strengthen you with the gift of the Holy Spirit as you minister to the needs of our community.

Congratulations as well to the 22 children who celebrated their First Communion last weekend. It was great to see the families come out in full force, godparents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, and uncles to recognize this special occasion in the lives of our little children. It not only provides a witness to our faith but reinforces the importance of this sacrament which is central to our Catholic faith.

On behalf of our parish I would like to congratulate two of our high school parishioners on their achievement. The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce and Grosse Pointe Media recognized Rachel Harris and Joshua Rigotti for excellence in their school and community role at large. Also, the Education Theatre Association of America has inducted parishioner Meaghan Dunham, a teacher at Grosse Pointe South, into the National EdTA Hall of Fame. Rachel is part of our Youth group while Meaghan and Joshua sing in our 9 am choir. Congratulations!
