June 22, 2014
MANY THANKS to our parishioners who have responded with a gift or a pledge to the Catholic Services Appeal. As you can see, we have reached, and exceeded our goal! As you know, funds received over the goal are returned to our parish, and may be used for parish expenses.
Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral this Sunday, June 22. Following the 11 a.m. Mass, a Eucharistic Procession through the neighborhood will celebrate this great Eucharistic feast of the Body and Blood of Christ.
During this Year of Prayer for a New Pentecost, all are encouraged to join Archbishop Vigneron in giving witness to their faith and praying for the Church in Detroit. Funded by your gifts to the Catholic Services Appeal, the Corpus Christi Mass and procession will unite the faithful in Detroit with their brother and sister Catholics worldwide, who will also gather at that exact time for Corpus Christi celebrations. If you have not already done so, please return your 2014 pledge card today. Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
