Please send a word document or text file and send accompaning images as attachments.
Please do not design your article in Word or any other program with fancy text and immbedded images. Since we cannot guarantee the space available for your message it's best to send us the text and accompanying pictures (as email attachments) and let us lay it out so it fits our format.
PICTURES:
Pictures should be as high quality as possible. Cell phone photos are taken at 72 ppi which is great for screens but print requirements dictate a photo with at least 300 ppi.
If you choose to use cell phone photos for your article please make sure the picture is taken as close to the subject as possible. To check the print quality of the photos save your article as a PDF file and increase the size to 300%. That will give you an idea of how the picture will print.
PDF FILES:
Unles you are requesting an insert, Please do not send PDF files. In order for us to use a PDF file in the printed bulletin we have to export it as a JPEG file and that degrades the quality.
INSERTS:
Please check with the bulletin editor by emailing the [email protected] prior to creating your insert. Depending on the amount of content an insert may not be needed. Since we can print a 12 page bulletin there is a good chance your content can be included in the printed version. This will keep our printing costs under control.
AREA CHURCHES AND ORGANIZATIONS
Please send text and images as email attachments and we will layout as space dictates
If your email is sent to anyone other than the [email protected] there is no quarantee your article will make it in the bulletin. If the bulletin editor is on vacation or out of the office the process does not change. Everyone tasked with compiling the bulletin all have access the bulletin email box and will recieve your request.
