Position Title: Maintenance Coordinator St. Clare of Montefalco Parish 1401 Whittier Road Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230 Position Type: Full-Time (based on 40 – hours a week) with benefits. Reports To: Priest in Solidum assigned to St. Clare Budget: Business Manager Start: Jan. 8, 2024
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance, safety, and repair of all plant facilities, equipment and grounds.
Works with the Business Manager office ensuring contracts and payments for the maintenance work are accurate and timely.
Supervises employee(s) and oversees volunteers working on the campus grounds or involved in various building related projects.
Coordinates inspections, vendors, and insurance company related to the functionality of the campus.
Maintains and updates the manual regarding facilities, properties, equipment, and their maintenance, procedures etc.
Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the Priest in Solidum, Moderator or School Principal.
Skills
Understands the functionality of the buildings.
Knows how to repair the basic needs of buildings.
Ability to present oneself professionally and have good communication skills and customer service qualities.
Works well with individuals having a wide range of personalities and abilities.
Team player with a cooperative, friendly demeanor, as well as strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
Experience working in operations/maintenance of a commercial institutional facility preferred.
High energy, conscientious, self-starter, prompt.
Dependable, honest, reliable.
Knowledge and compliance with all safety and health regulations.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
Familiarity with Catholic Church and School operations helpful, but not necessary.
Willing to work weekends and overtime when needed, especially during the holidays
Must obtain a Protecting God’s Children Certificate.
