The end of the year always seems to bring about a time of looking back and reflecting on what happened throughout the past year. Wow! What a year it’s been for the newly formed St. Clare Young Adults group! We started the year off with a wonderful evening at Cadieux Café meeting for the first time. It was a fun evening of getting to know each other, eating their famous mussels, and playing several rounds of feather bowling. We followed this up by hosting of one the parish movie nights this summer. We invited everyone to come to the social hall and enjoy an evening of snacks and a great movie, The Shack. Then in the fall we gathered for post-work happy hour at Atwater in the Park for fellowship and to just relax.
 
Most recently, we hosted a very successful gift-wrapping party for The Giving Tree Project. It was wonderful to be able to participate in this project and help others have a more joyful Christmas. Thank you to everyone who let us wrap your donations. A special thank you to the following young adults for purchasing and wrapping presents: Elizabeth LaRiviere, Billy Daudlin, Johanna Sherry, Andrew Hayner, Maureen Scanlon, Nicole Fricke, Caitlin Moore, Rachel Perkowski, Joe Conway and Clare Conway.
 
Looking forward into 2019, we are planning on assisting the St. Clare School Commission with promoting the St. Clare School Open House which is on January 27th. We will be delivering open house yard signs and posting promotional flyers around town before the Open House. If you are interested in assisting with this Open House promotional activity, please reach out to Clare at [email protected].
 
We also hope to explore other ways our group can learn about our faith in creative and engaging ways. We created a Facebook group to share news and events more quickly with each other, but we will continue to utilize the bulletin as well to promote projects and activities so always be sure to check here, too! We invite any young adult ages 21-35 to join our group. We are always happy to welcome new members and would love to meet you!
