The St. Clare Christian Service Commission and H.A.R.T. passed out “Bricks and Donation Packets” last weekend at all Masses. Join our May Mobilization Plan and bring your brick and donation to our Masses in May. Checks may be made out to H.A.R.T. We are off to a great start with 179 bricks and counting! Thank you. Our donations will support building supplies to erect St. Jude’s Church walls. I am proud to share with you our parishioners, Dr. Art and Susie Post, will be joining the 2014 Summer H.A.R.T. Mission to Haiti. Please join us during the month of May in supporting this project
Maria Rodriguez, a St. Clare parishioner and our local contact with H.A.R.T., shares these comments with us – Recently, H.A.R.T. reached out to St. Jude's community in More L'Hopital Haiti with a medical and humanitarian mission. Since the earthquake destroyed St. Jude's church over 4 years ago the parish has celebrated mass in a temporary structure of tin and 2X4's. H.A.R.T. has decided to help St. Jude's rebuild what the earthquake destroyed, beginning with their church.
Your signed bricks and donations may be given to Maria in the Mack Vestibule going out the main doors of the church the next two weekends. Also, they may be dropped off at the Parish Offices. Our goal is to fill the wall with 500 bricks! You will see the beautiful mural painted by Maria near the new church which reflects helping hands from across the world. Let’s put our hands together and make a contribution to help St. Jude’s get rebuilt.
