Thank you for your generous donations throughout the year. With your help, we are able to provide a 4-5 day supply of non-perishable food to most families we visit in our ministry work. This gift allows a family to address other needs or helps to stretch a very limited food budget. Volunteers help sort and pre-package food parcels so SVDP members can have quick access before home visits. The rectory/office also uses the pantry for emergency food needs discovered through their ministries.
People come to our conference through our parish members, calls to our SVDP Assistance Line (313) 647-5062; and from our parish spiritual/school/administrative teams.
After a long, hard, winter our cupboards are not quite bare, but we could use a little help to get us through the summer. Please remember your neighbors in need the next time you go shopping or see an item on sale. Drop your donation in any bushel basket (Austin portico, Cry Room, Whittier entrance, and at the information table near the elevator) throughout the year. We will also gratefully accept gift cards (used to purchase food items when our stock gets low) - please mark the envelope SVDP Pantry and drop in the weekly collection or at the parish office.
