VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
JANUARY 16TH AND 17TH St. Vincent de Paul
Bringing Hope to the Table - Food Collection Project at Kroger
KROGER LOCATION: Marter and Jefferson, St. Clair Shores

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project in the past. With your help we will be able to stock our pantry for many months to help our neighbors in need. You can volunteer at the store or at St. Clare. Families are welcome but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. SIGN UP CHARTS ARE ON THE WHITTIER WALL.

STORE VOLUNTEERS:
1) Greeter Volunteers: Distribute “shopping lists” at the entrance; request shoppers consider purchasing an item or two on the list to donate

2) Collection Volunteers: Stand near the checkout counters to collect the donations and put them into grocery baskets at the check out

3) Transport Volunteers: When a collection cart starts to fill up - transfer the food to your car and at the end of the shift (or when car is full) drive the food back to St. Clare

ST. CLARE PANTRY VOLUNTEERS:
1) Unloading Crew: Unload cars at Austin Portico returning from Kroger and move food into the Social Hall Sorting Area

2) Sorting Crew: Open bags of groceries and sort by food type and pack into containers for storage - also check expiration dates, count donations, and stock pantry shelves

SATURDAY JANUARY 16: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
SUNDAY JANUARY 17: NOON - 6:00 p.m.

ST. CLARE TIME SLOTS:
SATURDAY JANUARY 16: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
SUNDAY JANUARY 17: NOON - 8:00 p.m.
