Happy Labor Day Weekend.  Thank God for the summer days, thank God for the gift of family and friends, thank God for all who work for the good of all people.
 
With Labor Day comes the beginning of the school year.  And this means the beginning of the strengthening of our faith also.  Religious education classes will begin as follows:

• Please register.  It would be helpful if we could adequately provide for teachers and books before the beginning of classes.
• We will have a meet and greet ice cream social on Saturday, September 8 after the 4:00 Mass in the gazebo area. If you have not registered, please do so at this get together.
• Monday classes will begin on Monday, September 17. Grades 1-4 from 4-5:15. Grades 5-8 from 6:30-8:00. There will be a parent meeting on September 23 at 6:30 in the social hall.
• · Sunday family begins on September 23 with 9:00 Mass and classes until about 11:30.

Adult Faith Formation will begin on Thursday, October 4.  The program will begin at 7:00 PM Sharp!! For friendship and snacks, come at 6:30.
 
Protecting God’s Children:
If any adult or young adult 18 and older needs the Protecting God’s Workshop, one will be held at the following locations.  Anyone who will work with children in any capacity in the church or school or athletic setting MUST have a certificate stating that you have attended one of these sessions. Called to Serve:
Anyone in High School who wishes to assist with young children must have a Called to Serve Certificate. Thee workshops will be held at the following locations.  On the aod website, you have to register by calling the number listed for each parish.

• Saturday, September 8, 9-12, St. Joseph , 830 S Lafayette St., South Lyon
• Saturday, October 6, 9-12, St. Daniel 7010 Valleypark Dr, Village of Clarkston
• Monday, October 8, 6-9 PM, St. Thomas a’Becket, 555 S Lilley Rd, Canton.
• Monday, October 15, 6-9 PM. St. John Fisher Univ Chapel, 3665 E. Walton Blvd, Auburn Hills
