Lenten Alms change Lives
Thank you to everyone who participated in Operation Rice Bowl! You may leave your Rice bowls with your coins, cash, or check donations in the marked boxes on the altar. We will continue to collect donations through April 8. Go to www.crsricebowl.org to learn about more opportunities to support CRS projects that alleviate suffering and aid people in need in more than 100 countries.
Each Lent, Catholic families across the country unite to put their faith into action through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Through CRS Rice Bowl, families learn about how our sisters and brothers across the globe overcome hardships like hunger and malnutrition, and how through Lenten alms, we have the power to make the world a better place for all. Also, there are many local projects supported by Rice Bowl Grants, including our own St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
We had many different donations towards Operation Rice Bowl. We enjoyed individuals, families, students, and classrooms from our school who all donated towards this global effort. Also, your free will offerings from Simple Suppers will go towards our donations to this worthy program. We will sort out the change, bills and checks and direct it towards the national office in Baltimore.
