Many blessings for this beautiful Easter Season. We need to continue to rejoice in the Resurrection of Jesus despite the pandemic, social distancing and the closed churches.
Remember the Resurrection celebrates that Jesus is alive and well and lives among us.
Hopefully you are celebrating the “Domestic Church” which is the sacred place of your home with your family. Please make this time a holy time along with a great family encounter. Since May is in full bloom, I suggest that you and your family make a “May Altar” with a statue of Mary, perhaps some flowers, a cross, and a Bible. Take a picture so we can put them in the bulletin

A couple of weeks ago I forwarded to you a letter from our Archdiocese of Detroit regarding “Circle of Grace.” This is a program that must be provided to every child in our religious education classes and school. Since we were expecting to do this in April, we are asking that you read the attached letter and then choose the lessons for each of your school age children. I will have to report how many families did the classes, I would like you to email me that you have completed the sessions. Thanks.

All Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation have been postponed. Nothing can be arranged until the church is reopened. I know how difficult this, and I am sorry. As soon as we can give you information, we will send something out.
If you have any needs regarding your child’s religious formation, please let me know. There have been so many opportunities on the internet, that I have hesitated to give you anymore, but I would be happy to send you something if you need anything.
