On behalf of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, the St. Clare Christian Service Commission would like to thank the over fifty families and individuals that supported the Capuchin Signature Drive last weekend. Your generosity and thoughtfulness raised $1,192 to support the meaningful ministry of the Capuchins and their work in the Detroit area. Thank you for caring and participating in this worthwhile program. We all realize this is a year round challenge. Your efforts at this time and other times throughout the year are greatly appreciated.

Another worthwhile collection will take place on September 28 for our Michaelite Fathers and all the good works they do. Please look for your special red bordered envelope in your packet of envelopes. We will also have extra envelopes on the church tables. Your donations will assist with the training of our future priests and deacons as well as support their works in educating young people. Please mark your calendar and let’s show our gratitude for their loving support of St. Clare on Sept. 28.

Finally, I share with you a six week grief support series presented by Hospices of Henry Ford called The Journey Through Grief. It will be presented by Sr. Elaine Hartnett, OSM.
