On July 1st (Canada Day) and July 4th (Independence Day), both days celebrate beautiful countries, friendly neighbors, who consider them as home and native land, and the home of the brave and land of the free. We should be proud and grateful to live in such countries as the USA and Canada. Many people in the world today do not have a country to call their own, while others live in countries where there is violence, rather than peace. This week let us remember both countries in our prayers for peace and great friendship; that Americans and Canadians strive to be witnesses to Christ in their countries and the world. That Americans and Canadians continue to work to influence their governments to act from Christian principles and attitudes. That Americans and Canadians pray and work for justice and peace in their countries and throughout the world.
