The ALPHA Course has brought millions of people into a relationship with Jesus. In fact, more than half of the 30 MILLION people who have attended the Alpha Course said they gave their life to Christ. Here at St. Clare we have done it twice already. I can attest to the difference the program has made here at St. Clare in that we have a higher Mass attendance, more enthusiasm among parishioners, and more follow up programs (because we became hungry to know even more about Jesus). If you haven’t done ALPHA - consider joining this historic Alpha Course which is starting in January, 2016 at St. Clare. Historic, because it will be done for the first time ever in a Catholic context. Bishop Michael Byrnes will be preaching at all sessions. He is warm, funny, and a great priest and bishop. But we also need an energetic and enthusiastic audience – I believe we have this in our parish: Bold, Holy, and Catholic. I would like to invite as many as possible to hear the Bishop's talk.

Let's fill the pews of our beautiful church. We had to set the limit of 150 participants due to limited space in the hall and our kitchen accessibility etc. But demand for the Course is great therefore we will open the doors of our church so that everyone can come and listen to Bishop’s talks.

Those who did not register but will be present at the talks will be invited to join for discussions in the rooms of our school. Come and participate, bring a friend, invite a friend to find joy in the Lord, even if you or your friends are in the midst of questions, wounds, hurts, life challenges and worries. If you can’t come to participate - offer your prayers for the participants, for many volunteers that will be assisting our guests, and pray for our Bishop Michael Byrnes. If you can’t come—perhaps you can help to offset the cost of the program. (Which is large!) So far, I haven’t met ANYONE who said Alpha wasn’t impactful and amazing. Why not learn more about Jesus from a course that has been taken by some 30 MILLION people? Join us - make the commitment to better love, know, follow, serve and share Jesus (a true New Year’s Resolution to make our faith come alive!!!)
