We are in the midst of the Season of Advent, a time of reflection and preparation and of course all the business before the season ahead of us. As we reflect on the course our lives have taken, many have concerns about where we are in life. Maybe we just do not feel fulfilled or satisfied. Maybe we feel we have gotten the short end of the stick. All of this may be on our mind as a question that turns over and over: Is there more to life than this? The Alpha course that will start in January in our parish for the whole diocese and led by Bishop Byrnes, is a program that addresses this question. It speaks of the basic foundations of Christianity. It is an entry point for the seekers, as it introduces people to Jesus. But it is also an accelerating point for those on the journey. Alpha helps us to interact with the real, living, and resurrected Jesus. It increases our faith in Jesus. It allows us to experience our Living Lord today, and helps prepare us for eternal life with the Lord.
As we did in the past – there will be a dinner, talk, and discussion. If you would like to participate you must register: either on line or by calling our office.
