Second graders will not meet on Monday afternoon, March 5, but come with parents to the simple supper at 6:15 and a meeting will follow. 8th graders will have a Confirmation interview with Deacon Rich during your regular class on March 5.
Bake Sale: Next Sunday the Religious Education Department will hold a bake sale in the Church vestibule, Mack doors, after the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses.
Please come and enjoy some great baking.
On Sunday, February 25 there will be a Rite of Enrollment at 9:00 am Mass for our students. Students need a baptismal candle or purchase one from the religious education office for $3.00 before the 25th. Please invite Godparents of this child. Following the Mass will be a parent/child meeting.
The next parent/child meeting is March 5 at 6:30 pm in the Social Hall. On this date we will join the community for Simple Supper as a sign of our commitment to having a meal together like Jesus has with us each time we attend Mass. Weekend Mass attendance is mandatory.
As parents, you are the primary educators of your children. In the sacrament of Baptism, you promised to be your child’s “first teachers in the ways of the faith” and to be “the best of teachers”. Saint Clare Catholic School and Parish are here to help and support you in this important task.
Parish Catechetical Programs
"The parish is the preeminent place for the catechesis of adults, youth, and children. ‘Knowledge of the faith, liturgical life, the following of Christ are all a gift of the Spirit which are received in prayer, and similarly a duty of spiritual and moral study and witness. Neither aspect may be neglected.’ Pastors have the duty to provide catechesis; parishioners have the reciprocal duty to participate in and support the catechetical activities of the parish.” (National Directory for Catechesis, 60)
